Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Comics

Eric’s Kitchen is pleased to welcome the Fabulous Furry Freak Brother Comics to our web site pages. They have always been a firm favourite at our festival stall, with customers and all the crew, and they make great stocking fillers any time of year. Each Magazine is £3.50 and for a limited period only there will be NO post or packing charges on any of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brother comics.

The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers strips were first created in Texas 1968 by Gilbert Shelton who ran a strip in Feds `n` Heads comic, this led to a group of friends forming “Rip Off Press” by 1970 The first Freak Brothers comic no 1 rolled of the press. Gilbert then teamed up with Dave Sheridan, they worked on many of the strips together which were then printed in weekly newspapers, and they also enjoyed publications in Play Boy and the High Times magazines. Later they were joined by Paul Mavrides, before the sad loss of Dave Sheridan in 1982 after falling on his way to hospital. The Freak Brother comics however continue to be printed, with two superb collections recently published in book form (you can see our book pages for details of these.) Over here in the UK “Hassle Free Press” which later became Knock About Comics, were granted the licence to print the comics hear, both presses thankfully keep up a good supply so that we can have the pleasure of passing on our favourites to the next generations
